Identity-Wisdom Snippets From Peter.

Identity

Feature Photo Dainis Graveris Upsplash.com

My true identity is me, not the thoughts in my mind. While the thoughts in my mind are placed there by the ego – the speaker, I am the listener. What is most important is how I respond to what I hear. If thoughts engender such things as fear, doubt, anxiety, and multitudes of other negatives, I simply observe them and then, allow them to drift out of my mind. If thoughts of love, joy, peace excitement and such fill me, I embrace them fully.

I am determined to be happy every day of my life. To say nothing of the fact that I never have to wait and see what the day brings. Additionally, I walk happily into each day irrespective of what it may bring.

This is wise thought management, considering that thoughts become actions and these will have future consequences, it is vital I choose correctly.

When I make a statement regarding myself, I put it out there for all to see; that way I had better live up to what I say.

I recall when my mind was opened up to what my life and identity were all about, there was enormous freedom that resulted; it was like a surgical lamp that shone into my innermost, and under the lamp, all the darkness vanished.

Prosperity-Wisdom Snippets From Peter.

Prosperity

Feature Photo by Sharon McCutcheon Upsplash.com

In times of my prosperity, I should have lived frugally; But I didn’t and it cost me dearly. The cost was the loss of my prosperity.

I was raised to conform to tradition and norms, thankfully I escaped from that prison, although the road was very rocky from there – But I made it. The secret was, I never looked back (truth is, I was afraid I’d turn into a pillar of salt!)

My mother used this expression often, “Be careful.” But I later learned it is better to be wise than careful. In fact, wisdom allows me to take risks whilst being careful and she always does so at exactly the right time, every time.

I wonder if accepting opportunities into my life isn’t like a day-long drizzling. Which results in me complaining about it instead of gratefully accepting it.

Heart-Wisdom Snippets From Peter.

Heart

My heart is a powerful pump and also the seat of my emotion. And more than this, it gives me wise advice and guidance.

I marvel that my sub-conscientious is filled with a huge amount of beautiful creative ideas. They peep out from behind the door of my mind, waiting to be called into their being.

I never start anything with a view to seeing the end. Rather I start something with a view to tasting its development along the way. If the end was important what would I experience on reaching the end? Only ‘The End,’ of course.

For me, the beginning of any undertaking I have is the most important part; as without the beginning there will be no end, but once I have begun, I focus on enjoying every moment of the process. I do not give the end any thought. The process is the heart of the matter.

Fire In The Heart-Peter’s Quote for The Day.

Fire in Heart

Feature Photo by Zach Vessels upsplash.com

Douse The Fire Of Anger In Your Heart.

Do not allow the fire of your anger to blaze for those who hurt you in the past. This fire will destroy you. Douse the flames by accepting that their hurts helped to make you the person you are. A person of determination and a will to succeed. As you accept, so peace will flow into your wounds, healing them and freeing your mind.

Think From Inside-Peter’s Quote for The Day.

Think

Feature Photo By Belinda Fewings upsplash.com

Don’t Think Outside In.

For most of my life, I used to think outwardly. By comparison, a wise person thinks from the inside out. Thinking about events outside of me meant all events around me caused my thoughts to react. When I changed my thinking habits, I prepared myself to deal with all events in my life. If someone let me down at the last minute, I would have been angry and judgmental about that person. Now I say, I will make another arrangement, which will turn out better. My conscience is clear, and I’m at peace. I have little or no control over issues taking place outside of me. But I have every control over how I respond to these experiences when I think inwardly. How I react to these events will determine the power I have over my state of mind.

Grief-Peter’s Quote for The Day.

Grief

Feature Photo by Ann Upsplash.com

Deal With Your Grief.

Grief has been a visitor to my life more times than I can honestly say I am comfortable. I found from my childhood recollections, the night was the worst; fear was my frequent antagonist .Now, in the experience of my adult life, the same antagonist visits at all times of the day and night. My comfort was coming to know that the antagonist has only one stage on which to perform – my mind. It is my mind that carries my loss, my loneliness, my grief. I decided; the stage of my mind belongs to me, I am sole director of all productions on this stage.

The antagonist is now barred from all performances. Besides, what the antagonist never told me was: “This too shall pass, and the best is yet to come.” A wise person once said to me. Don’t push your grief away, you must deal with it. I marveled at those words, but as is so often the case, I forgot to ask how this was done. Just at that point, the words of Eckhart Tolle came to my mind, “Observe the thought, then let it go .” Whenever a memory (a thought) about the beloved ones I’ve lost, comes into my mind, I observe it (even to the point of shedding a tear, or more,) then I let it go. Not only is this practice a relief, but it has also become a pleasant experience too.

Famous Author Quotes-Paulo Coelho on Never Imprison Love.

Love

― Paulo Coelho

“Love is an untamed force. When we try to control it, it destroys us. When we try to imprison it, it enslaves us. When we try to understand it, it leaves us feeling lost and confused.”

― Paulo Coelho

www,goodreads.com.

Paulo’s words are wise indeed and from these, we should all take care regarding this precious word, love.

I cannot remember ever trying to tame or understand the various experiences of love in my life, but there is every chance that I did. It’s possible, I might have tried to control and imprison love, although I cannot consciously recall doing this. Thinking about it, I can distinctively recall the feeling of romantic love. The love of my various family members along with the love of my fellow humans, these I recall quite clearly. Yet, love has been a mystery to me. A mystery that has to some extent become a little more clear in discovering that love comes in many differing forms.

The very best description I have ever read was from a passage of ancient wise words, and it goes like this: “Love is patient and is kind; love doesn’t envy. Love doesn’t brag, is not proud, doesn’t behave itself inappropriately, doesn’t seek its own way, is not provoked, takes no account of evil; doesn’t rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.”

Weekly Words of Wisdom-Unrequieted Dreams.

Dreams

Feature Photo by carolyn christine Upsplash.com

Unrequieted Dreams, Who Has Them?

“Gatsby believed in the green light, the orgastic future that year by year recedes before us. It eluded us then, but that’s no matter–tomorrow we will run faster, stretch out our arms farther…. And one fine morning– So we beat on, boats against the current, borne back ceaselessly into the past.”

― F. Scott Fitzgerald, The Great Gatsby

Gatsby lived in his dream, the green light, across the bay. A green light which signaled to him the presence of his dream, Daisy, the woman, it was said, he loved. Yet his dream was never fulfilled. It remained just that, an unrequited dream. Perhaps with you, and I, the pursuit of our dreams is like rowing a boat against a current. A current that is always sweeping us backward into our past. We, unawares, see our dreams recede with the years until we have forgotten that we had them. Do you have unrequited dreams? Do you have unrequited love? My past is a huge treasure chest of dreams and experiences. I live off these dreams and experiences, but I am careful not to live in them. Living in my dreams has caused me to lose my vision. Now I live, steering for my dreams, not living in them.

Peter’s Quote for The Day-Choosing Friends.

Friends

Feature Duy Pham Upsplash.com

Choose Friends Wisely

I must be wise with my choice of friends. If I part for one reason or another from any of them, I must do so kindly, with no ill feelings when I part from those friends. Parting does not mean I cease to love you. (by love, I do not address the romantic love, but the love of our fellow humans.) Adopting this attitude, I have found much peace of mind.

A voicemail message attributed to a certain Pastor Henry Schorr goes like this: “Thanks for calling. I’ve been away making changes in my life. Please leave a message. If you don’t hear back from me, you are one of the changes. Enjoy your day.” (“The Power of Focus.” Jack Canfield, Mark Victor Hansen, Les Hewitt. page 130.)

Peter’s Quote for The Day-The Golden Goose.

Golden Egg

Feature Photo by Sharon McCutcheon Upsplash.com

The Golden Goose Lays Golden Eggs

I learned something very valuable. There are some ancient and wise words that say, “Cast your bread on the waters and after many days it will return.” But there’s more…. “Give a portion to six or seven…” What the wise words are explaining is: Invest in your fellow humans and as time goes by your investment will grow in return. But don’t stop there, give even more from your gain. Now you become like the golden goose, sharing her eggs as she lays them. It’s another way of saying, “Love your neighbor.”
