Weekly Words of Wisdom Think Positive.

Positive

Think Positive?

I could never understand why so many people say, “Be positive.” How can I become positive? I asked myself.  With this, I went on a journey to find out how to be positive, but to no avail. I was exhausted. Sitting down under a tree, I fell asleep. I was surprised to hear a wee voice, with an Irish accent. “Surely it’ll be yourself you’re looking for? Never you mind about being positive.”

I awoke to recall the little green elf’s words (After speaking to local Irish experts, it was confirmed, I had an encounter with a Leprechaun!) Looking for myself I questioned, how do I do this?

I needn’t have asked the question, because I felt a deep change had taken place in me. Filled with new confidence, inner power, and spiced with an air of peace. I knew I had found myself.

Arriving at our local pharmacy, I greeted one of the assistants, who eyed me strangely saying, “Well now, you’re the positive one today Shaun.”

Aaah I thought, you found yourself and now you can say, I’m positive!

If you are trying to find out how to be positive, come to Ireland. Maybe you might have an encounter with a Leprechaun. The Leprechaun will tell you not to worry about trying to be positive, just look inside and find yourself. If you believe this, you will be astounded at the change in yourself.

Peter’s Quote of The Day

Fruit Bowl
  1. Once I lived for instant gratification until I discovered that gratification is like fruit on a tree, best once it is ripe. Bitter if picked too soon.
Peter James

I love each new day; the advantage of waking up and finding I’m alive, and the fact that once again, opportunity calls from outside the covers. Its so worthwhile waking and having gratitude for being alive; because one day I will wake up and find I’m dead! On that day I shan’t bother to find out what’s outside the covers – I will know.

I am Author, Writer, and Blogger.

Whilst the titles might make me sound important, I am not. I love people and have a strong passion to encourage people and help them to love themselves.

Writing and publishing on my blogsite is simply what I do.

What do I write? Over the years I have published, short stories, Inspirational articles, poems, reviews of books, movies, restaurants and more.

Although of late I have focused more on ‘Words of Wisdom’ articles that invite people to challenge themselves as far as their self-development is concerned and these I publish weekly, under the title, “Weekly Words of Wisdom” on my blogsite: http://www.sirpeterjames.com.

Having had an excellent response to the “Weekly Words of Wisdom,” it makes sense to publish a daily, “Peter’s Quote for The Day,” in the hopes that you will, not only read it, but let the words be drawn into your very soul and finally, and most important of all – you will apply them to your life.

Early Morning

I LOVE TO WATCH A SUN RISE
ACROSS THE FIELDS FAR WAY,
SPLASHES OF COLOR, BRIGHT SHADES OF RED
IT IS A SIGNAL OF A BEGINNING DAY.

THE CLOUDS MARCHING ACROSS THE SKY
FLUFFY BILLOWS OF SOFT WHITE,
THE SUN PEEKING UP OVER THE MOUNTAIN
PROMISING TO TAKE THE DARKNESS OF NIGHT.

THE FLOWERS BEGIN TO OPEN THEIR PEDALS
THEY HAVE BEEN SLEEPING OVERNIGHT,
ALL THE LOVELY SHADES OF PINK, YELLOW AND BLUE
STANDING THERE DAMP WITH MORNING DEW.

AT THE FIRST HINT OF DAYLIGHT
THE BIRDS BEGIN TO SING,
THEIR MUSIC CAN BE HEARD IN EVERY TREE
AS THEIR MELODIES BEGIN TO RING.

IT IS USUALLY VERY QUIET AT DAYBREAK
OFF IN THE DISTANCE I HEAR A ROOSTER CROW,Rooster at Sunrise
THE EARTH IS STILL SLEEPING NOT YET AWAKE
TIME TO GET UP, HE JUST WANTS US TO KNOW.

IT IS SO QUIET AND PEACEFUL
SITTING OUT UNDER A SHADE TREE,
READING THE DAILY NEWSPAPER
ENJOYING A GLASS OF ICE COLD TEA.

I WATCH A LITTLE LADY BUG
AS SHE TRAVELS IN A HURRY,
ACROSS A LEAF GOING REALLY NOWHERE
SHE DOESN’T SEEN TO MIND OR HAVE A WORRY.

A BUTTERFLY LANDS ON A MORNING GLORY
HIS LITTLE WINGS DIP UP AND DOWN,
SOON HE WILL LEAVE THAT FLOWER
AND SAIL TO OTHERS ALL AROUND.

A BUMBLE BEE HAS ALSO BEEN VISITING
HE OFTEN COMES QUITE NEAR,
HIS LITTLE WINGS MAKE A LOVELY SOUND
IF YOU LISTEN – YOU CAN HEAR.

I WISH EARLY MORNING LASTED LONGER
BUT I MUST GET BUSY AND START MY DAY,
BEFORE I KNOW IT THE SUN WILL START TO SINK
AND ON MY PILLOW, MY HEAD I WILL LAY.

BUT FOR NOW I WILL LINGER A FEW MOMENTS LONGER
NO NEED TO RUSH THE MORNING AWAY,
WON’T BE LONG UNTIL SPRING WILL TURN INTO WINTER
AND OUT HERE IN MY YARD I WON’T BE ABLE TO STAY.

Clarence the Caterpillar (Part Two)

Clarence was terrified and began wriggling for all he was worth. The bird swooped towards the river, heading for her young ones in their nest. Clarence managed to squirm free and fell headlong into the water, where a fish took a bite at him, narrowly missing and in doing so, knocked him onto the bank. Badly shaken, bruised and cold he huddled under the safety of some rocky cover. Continue reading Clarence the Caterpillar (Part Two)

Clarence the Caterpillar

Catepillar to Butterfly

Once there was a young and very hairy Caterpillar, called, Clarence, who lived on the jungle floor. The world around and above him was filled with many, many different and often, dangerous creatures. Whilst there was an abundance of food and water around, there was the equally good chance of being food for many other creatures. Continue reading Clarence the Caterpillar
