My life was given to fashion as I will. Many of those around me do not have the will to make for themselves a joyful life and beg scraps instead. There are the few who sit at the captain’s table and enjoy the meal, having a joyful life. The choice is mine.
All my life, as sure as the sun rises, I have lived with effects. But the lesser-known to me were the causes. Yet, I am comfortable in my skin (it fits well) so who cares?
I see each day as absolutely brand new, with different elements flowing in from all directions. If it were not so, my life would be intensely dull, don’t you think?
Fear of what others may say or do used to rule my life. So I broke out of that prison and now I hold the say and do key. What a relief – I am a completely different person.

There are times when I am seeking a path. Then there are times when I have to create my path.
When the light within me pours forth, the way ahead becomes clear.
I have no fear of slip-ups in my life. It has been my experience that these often lead to successful accomplishments.
It is said, “The eyes are the windows of the soul.” I am comforted by these words, as it means the peace within me becomes visible, through my eyes, for all to see.
Being able to influence my fellow humans, for their benefit, by my life, is deeply satisfying.
There are those of us who find that our lives are without enough meaning. We ask ourselves questions like, what am I doing in this life? What is my life’s purpose?
We all have the answers to our questions within us.
I’m the only one that can provide myself with the answers to these questions. The simple truth is that there is no ‘one-size-fits-all.’ The one common factor is this; we need direction that will take us to our purpose. But we need also be careful here, as ‘purpose’ in itself is not necessarily a destination. I think it’s more likely to be a journey.
Let me use one of my favorite examples: the onion (I love the red ones.) I set about peeling the outer layer to reach the skin. And what do I find? Another skin. If you’ve never peeled an onion before (you are declared a rare animal), you will find another skin. This process will continue until you have nothing!
Well, not quite nothing. You have at least accomplished your purpose; discovering the onion. Examined more closely, you have, in addition, a fair amount of skins that are useful for flavoring your cooking or salad. You have now found two purposes; discovering an onion and creating a meal supplement. Isn’t this marvelous?
We all have multiple purposes in our lives.
In essence, you may have multiple purposes in your life. You ask yourself, but how do I find even one purpose, let alone many? The answer is direction. Yes, direction, you read correctly.
I found an excellent article on direction, and for this reason, I’m handing you over to Rebecca.

In a world where looks are everything, I feel strongly about always looking impressive. I don’t dress to impress; it’s just because I feel comfortable that way.
Comfortable in my skin is how I feel; it’s a cozy feeling, and besides, it fits so well.
How I feel about myself, especially knowing I am enough, is my first impression of others. The rest seems to follow.
I drink from the fountain of daring and the tonic of dreams. They are the most refined cocktail for my inspiration.

I never wrote a book to become famous or make money (the thought is enticing though.) I wrote a book to pour out my soul that others might enjoy what they read.

Never waste your time scratching around with old family documents, you never know what you might find. What if you discovered, even though your grandmother went to church every Sunday, she was a bank-robber?
I never took my grandmother too seriously when she said, “What goes around, comes around.” until it came around and bit me.

Why kiss a frog, when Granny told you that you’ll get warts if you do. Rather wait for a prince; there are a few around you know. Some really top-drawer ones too. I used to kiss frogs until I learned I was dependent on them for my security; my happiness. I was always disappointed in the end, because, as Granny said, I got warts. Warts of anger, jealousy, insecurity. There were quite a few others as well. At that point I learned about partnership. I used a salve called trust, respect and giving, to heal the warts of dependence. My skin cleared beautifully and guess what? Princes in their droves are queueing up at my door!I’ll never kiss a frog again.

Being ADHD and mildly dyslexic has never held me back; it’s just the reactions of others who become confused by my behavior! I feel for them not being able to be inside my skin, wherein is a huge treasure chest. A treasure chest of quirky qualities. A huge store of imagination, energy, spontaneity, creativity, and innovation. This is just the tip of the iceberg. I am a happy ADHD chappie in love with himself and loved by others.

I can to this day, some sixty-eight years later, recall the first time I was kissed by a little girl. Although not one hundred per cent clearly, I still remember her face and her somewhat full rosebud lips. More than this I recall that she took my hand, held it fast, turned and kissed me on full on the lips, whilst I stood in a tremor of fright and absolute delight. We were two eight-year-olds.
