Funny You Are

Funny

Feature Photo by Tengyart Upsplash.com

I love you for all that you are, all that you have been, all that you’re yet to be.

Ernest Hemingway

“This too will pass, and the best is yet to come.” If you whine in her company, she’ll tell you this and then make you repeat it. Remind you often, so it’s etched into your brain. Don’t forget, if you want to be in her company, or else!

Loving her new life, not wanting to get out of bed too early; although she does make a dutiful, and very important move to look after Alice in the chalice (serious consequences if she doesn’t) and certainly not until she’s had her morning cuppa. Her first enjoyment of the new day.  Lifting her lips from the cup she croons, “tasty cup of tea. Did you make it?” I look around to see if there is anyone else in the coop but us two. She’s kidding and I’m doing a follow-up.

Believe me, she’s like that. If it isn’t funny, this lady will make it funny. People always laugh in her company; Aaah she’s a true Brit, master of the understatement.

A joy to live with and we’ll see many sunrises and sunsets together as we walk through the vale on the road to the mountaintop. I could not imagine a more beautiful soul to share that experience when we gaze out to forever.

Writing Love-Bite

You can write any time people will leave you alone and not interrupt you. Or rather you can if you will be ruthless enough about it. But the best writing is certainly when you are in love.

Ernest Hemingway

I can vouch for Ernest Hemingway’s statement.

I know well what it’s like to be left alone so you can write and not be interrupted. As a result, I assume that probably most writers feel the same way.

What I don’t know is why others would feel this way. From my point of view, I struggle to focus, and if I’m interrupted, I lose concentration. As a result, I become diverted from my inspirational path. The better news is that I recover most times quickly and can continue writing.

Writing
Love Writing

As it happened, my writing experience began late in my life. After meeting someone and falling in love, we moved in together and became partners. Partners, not only in the sense of cohabitation but also in having a coach. Someone who not only motivated but encouraged me to write. We would discuss every piece of writing I completed, followed by many suggestions and ideas.

In my case, there are many solutions to people’s interruption. One of these is finding a place where no people can interrupt you. Slipping down to our local library is one of the solutions. However, for me, ruthlessness is not an option; the reason for this would be my life philosophy. It is not possible for my partner to ever interrupt me.

Now, after more than 600 articles posted and 20,000 hits on my website, I can agree with Ernest Hemingway:

“But the best writing is certainly when you are in love.”

Experiences-Wisdom Snippets From Peter.

Experience

Feature Photo by Mark König Upsplash.com

I have had immeasurable experiences over the years of my life. And as I reflect on these I realize none of them were ever the same. As a result, they taught me, that each of my experiences, no matter how small, were of individual significance.

Accepting responsibility for all that takes place in my life has been a game-changer for me.

I marvel that I have and always will have a choice as my primary option. And the rest is a matter of follow-up.

As with the stars in the universe, so are the abundant benefits that pour into my life; most of these I experience, without being aware they have even entered my life.

The Value of Life Experience

The value of experience in life is priceless, you would agree, I’m sure. In addition, what is just as crucial is applying what you have experienced into the way of your living. And of next importance is sharing your beneficial experiences with others. Next, we must carefully check our experiences before applying them, both in our lives and the lives of others. For instance, using and sharing negative experiences can lead to unnecessary fear. If you don’t apply your experiences to the way you live, the negative ones will create fear within you, and the positive ones remain tucked away in your subconscious. As you become older, they become less retrievable and less able to be applied or shared.

Misfortunes-Peter’s Wisdom Snippets .

misfortune

Feature Photo by Sigmund Upsplash.com

Because of the many misfortunes, I have experienced in my own life that I have compassion for those that lack in any way. And in this way, with my compassion, misfortunes became fortunes.

In times of sorrow, without thinking, I set my living aside to focus on my sorrow; And yet, sorrow gives nothing but pain, it is a taker of my joy and peace. But living is a giver of all manner of wonderful experiences. So I opted to leave sorrow behind and live. What a difference that has made to me.

I found that if do something helpful for another, I am immediately uplifted.

Integrity holds within its grasp the power of generosity towards others. And generosity towards others holds the power of return to sender, with interest.

Powerful-Wisdom Snippets -From Peter.

Power

Feature Photo by Johannes Plenio Upsplash.com

My talents are no match against the daily happenings released by the universe. But the powerful light within in me is greater than that of the Universe. There is a powerful force within me. It is activated by me pushing the ‘release’ button in my mind and the result becomes visible once I act. In discovering the latent power within me, I met a lifelong partner.

With the mindset, ‘I can.’ I can not be stopped.

I notice that science and the world, in general, move forward rapidly every day. I join them and go with the flow; it stimulates my mind and growth. I feel so much better too.

My aptitude for hard work and commitment is a treasure beyond value and it has always got me by. It always will. There are two things that have been a tremendous help to me. One is my positive attitude, the other, a strong aptitude for work and consistency.

Daily I attempt to make full use of my talents. As I use them the results encourage me so much I find myself looking for more. Also interesting, with these talents, I never seem to get to the bottom of the well!

Contact-Wisdom Snippets -From Peter.

contact

Feature Photo by Miles Burke Upsplash.com

I’m so grateful that we have access to the many mediums of contact with one another. The benefits are enormous. Not the least being that while we may be thousands of kilometers apart, we are only a couple of keys away from contact.

I am the sole analyst of situations in my life and decidedly the only one to do something about them.

If I am overly concerned for my future, I become a slave to time. Now, as time is an illusion, I become, in truth, a slave to something that does not exist. Don’t you find that odd!

Wisdom came by me because I sought her; I did not know how to live with her when she first arrived. Now we are soulmates.

The word ‘heart’ appears more than a thousand times in the Judeo-Christian scriptures. They say that the heart is not merely a physical organ but the seat of our emotions, no less.

A considerable amount of ancient scripture refers to the word ‘heart’ as a place of emotion. We’ve all heard of the expression, ‘you broke my heart.’ We all understand in this case; the heart is not physically broken. It is emotionally damaged. Most of us will be familiar with the excitement of ‘being in love.’ In particular, how our hearts beat faster in this experience.

The heart is an organ, a powerful pump, moving our lifeline of blood around the body. Is it also a seat for our emotions? Lacking the necessary knowledge medically or scientifically, I cannot comment on this subject. But I find it of particular fascination. If the heart is not only an organ but also a source of emotion, wouldn’t this be amazing?

I found another source that feels the same as I do, and they offer a degree of scientific input. I thought you might like to read Shawn Radcliffe’s information on the subject.

Authority-Wisdom Snippets -From Peter.

Authority

Feature Photo by Rita Morais Upsplash.com

With my intelligence, I have authority. Yet, it has no power without my wise management.

While I search for self-development and learning, my higher discovery has been how to apply my fertile imaginativeness.

I cannot change my after-life destiny, but I’ve enjoyed many years improving my present life.

For me, it is an immense wealth to be of helpful service to my fellow humans. For me, it is far above fame and fortune.

I understand that authority is this: The authority on (on a particular matter.) And the authority to do (something.)

Like most of us, I was taught authority by my parents, teachers, and the workplace. My father was the head (I date back many years ago) my mother followed. The order at school, was headmaster, teachers, prefects. Work, the MD, department head, and line manager. These were all people who had to manage my life, learning, and productivity.

Not All Authorities are Authorities.

Among some were authorities on various aspects of management, learning, and productivity. Not all those who of my authorities were authorities in specific subject matters.

The Function of Authority

My line manager was an expert on chemicals, as he was a qualified chemical engineer. At the same time, he issued me instructions on what work I was to do. He also appraised my performance. Finally, he coached me on how to refine this performance.

True Authority

My favorite teacher was my English master. Employed to teach me but also with a Ph.D. in English. He was a specialist in all aspects of the English language and an excellent teacher; he had a command of the English language and a respect for his students. This master never demanded respect; it simply came to him.

Proper authority is invested in us, and how wisely and respectfully we use this is our choice.

Gift-Wisdom Snippets -From Peter.

Gift

Feature Photo by Jess Bailey Upsplash.com

I consider my life a magnificent gift. In addition, the gift of being able to do what I enjoy most.

In my life, my past experiences have been my classroom. My future is a rocket to my dreams. No sweat, whichever way I look.

I am cramming at this moment – not for an exam, no. I am filling this moment with all the joy and excitement I can muster, then tomorrow, I will start afresh.

I have discovered that a relationship that is respectful and transparent is like a well-tended garden, it produces rich fruit.

Upstream-Wisdom Snippets -From Peter.

Upstream

Featured Photo by Will Myers Upsplash.com

The beauty about walking upstream is, you eventually discover what’s upstream. Sometimes you make it all the way to the source of the stream. That’s exciting!

I learned a lesson from the onion. Sometimes I peel away at something, only to find out that there is nothing at the end.

Navigating the course of my life is no easy matter, but the journey is so worthwhile.

Life is fascinating. There are times when I have to give up on something. Then there are the times when I need to persevere with something. Wisdom is knowing when to do which.

I find living to be the most amazing experience. Writing has helped me to realize this fact.
