Possible-Wisdom Snippets From Peter

Possible

Feature Photo by Josh Couch Upsplash.com

I saw a little red Poppy today, standing proudly, in all its glory This flower had grown through a crack in the pavement along a busy street in a city. I asked, is this possible? It was a lesson for me; anything is possible

My dreams are not born of passivity but rather through passionate emotions for their realization.

Failure has never truly hurt me; what did hurt was not claiming back what I had lost.

The real power in my life comes from within, and I’m pleased about this, as no one can ever take it from me.

One day I saw a little red Poppy, standing proudly, in all its glory, having grown through a crack in the pavement along a busy street in a city. It was a lesson for me; nothing is impossible.

This little poppy was so beautiful; if she had have been human, I would have said she was gorgeous. There, between two dirty grey concrete slabs on a busy sidewalk, she made her home. She had grown out of the soil grouting between the slabs. The poppy had waited for moisture from the sky, and in the soil and humidity, she had nurtured herself.

We can overcome anything.

Despite all the elements against her, she had reached full maturity. How she had survived to this point could only have been a miracle. But the next day, on my way to the office, I saw she was gone. Did someone pick her and take her to an office desk, or was she trampled on? Perhaps the street sweeper pulled her up like a weed and tossed her in his bin. I have no idea.

We can rise into our glory.

I thought about her much after spending a little time of admiration in her presence. the little flower grew from a seed in a tiny amount of soil between two paving slabs. This poppy relied on elements other than herself to nurture in the dark and then blossom forth into the sunlight one day. She had no choice about the place of her birth or how she would grow and survive. Finally, she rose to face the world in all her glory and left having impacted those who saw her so briefly.

See what Carla has to say about rising above our circumstances.

Let The Years Roll On.

While my body stopped growing a long time ago, yet my mind continues to grow. There are no limits to my mind’s growth; this is a miracle. I will foster this growth until I leave the planet. I have had plenty of struggles in my life. It is these which have equipped me to take on the next fifty years of living. They will be the most magnificent time of my life. I am delighted at the prospect! I think the secret of my growing old joyfully is never counting the years I have lived.

Peter’s Quote for The Day A Mother

Mother and Child

Feature Photo by Andrae Ricketts Upsplash.com

When my mother conceived me, my creator burned the recipe. Finally and in pain my Mother birthed me. In raising me she experienced the miracle of human growth, begun in her body. She later said, “The pain was worth it.” I think my Mother was an Angel. Years later, as an adult, I told my mother about scientists wanting to clone the likes of me. “Oh no, she cried out, not another like you, surely not!”

Habits Atomic

Feature Photo by Lala Azizli Upsplash.com

Changing Habits

I have always resisted any form of change. As time has passed, I have realized that change is a constant in my life, whether I like it or not. Resisting change is a habit I have had for more years than I can remember. Try though I may, I could not break this habit.

I was under the illusion of believing that so-called change involved only the bigger developments in my life, not incidental, moment-to-moment happenings.

There are myriads of annoying little incidents that take place in my life. A neighbor’s yapping dog, someone playing excessively loud music, a person being rude to me. All these are annoying, to say the least. But why am I so affected by these events? Because they are challenging me to change my bad attitude habit.

After reading much of Eckhart Tolle’s works, I began to wake up to the fact that the pain I felt in resisting change was from my habit, not the challenge of change.

He also speaks about ‘conscientiousness’ and the importance of living in that state. I now practice this throughout my day. I discipline myself to focus through the course of every activity I’m engaged in, no matter how small.

Reading Tolle’s information has had miraculous results for me.

I live in the now moment. I contend with my old habits of resisting change. I’m continually aware that my habits create my pain, not the challenge of change.

Weekly Word of Wisdom

Alone in a Corner

When I was a little boy, teachers ridiculed me and I was often told to stand in a corner. I felt ashamed of myself;  then one day a kindly Angel took me, by the hand, to a mirror. “Look at yourself, you are beautiful, you need never be ashamed of yourself; besides if you don’t love you, how will you love others?” Life has been wonderful since the Angel came into my life and I left the corner forever!

The corner of a classroom is a place of shame and loneliness, if you choose to stay there, you will always feel guilt, shame and fear. The miracle is – you have a choice; stay of leave.

A little boy was in his class when the teacher announced, “Class, all stand in honour of our leader, Vladimir Lenin.” the class stood except Aleksandr. “Why are you not standing Alexandr?” The teacher screamed. “I don’t like him,” the boy whimpered. The teacher beat the boy unmercifully and taking him by the ear thrust him into a corner. “You will learn respect or else!”

The following morning the teacher made her announcement and all the class stood, including Alexandr. “So,” the teacher sneered, “You are learning respect yes?” The boy replied, “Teacher I am standing on the outside, but on the inside I am sitting.”

The little boy chose to stay out of the corner on the inside by standing for the leader on the outside.

All our best choices are made from within; this way, we live another day when its convenient to make other choices

Becoming the Person you want to Be

Dreams 6

We all dream of things we would like to see happen in our lives. More often than not, these are ideals that we don’t share with others or maybe just one other special person, usually someone we can trust. Now that I think about it, apart from the one with whom I have a close relationship, I don’t think I’ve ever heard anyone discussing their dreams.

Clarence the Caterpillar

Catepillar to Butterfly

Once there was a young and very hairy Caterpillar, called, Clarence, who lived on the jungle floor. The world around and above him was filled with many, many different and often, dangerous creatures. Whilst there was an abundance of food and water around, there was the equally good chance of being food for many other creatures. Continue reading Clarence the Caterpillar

MY MIRACLE, MY HEALING…

It’s such an amazing miracle; what happened to me last Friday & Saturday, 15th & 16th March. On Friday night (15th March) during a Holy Spirit Impact session at our church I just started crying deeply, and cried and cried; so much so, that my clothes were all wet! So much water streaming out from everywhere in my face, just from deep inside. During that whole night I just wept so much! On Saturday morning it was like a lion roaring inside me… and this pain, tears, everything that was bottled up just came rushing forward like a volcano erupting. Later that day I realized the big lump that I had in my throat was gone, the pain in my shoulder bone from the thyroid swelling was gone!

On Monday the 11th, prior to this healing happening, I went to Radiology in Paarl. No cancer, just many nodules on my thyroid. My doctor said there’s no liquid in it, so it can’t be drained, it’s gotta be surgically removed. He then did a blood test and said on Friday 15th that my thyroid’s count is normal, not high and not low, so no medication. It has to be cut out.

Ronelle Healed March 16 2019

Well, on Saturday the 16th I was healed! So much pent up pain and emotions inside me caused my thyroid to grow and grow and grow, it caused a major lump in my throat and my neck to swell badly, like you can see on the photo taken on the morning of the 11th March.
It was like a very tight belt around my neck, being released. My thyroid would cause me to choke as it was swollen and painful inside at the back of it and all round, causing my neck to swell and pain into my collar bone.
This week on my holiday I went snorkeling with seals, I did lots of things, solo camping in my tent, hiking on Table Mountain, and the pain never came back again. The swelling is gone, no longer necessary to be operated on! YAY!
All the pent up emotions way back from 2004 when I lost my womb…. Hopes dashed of ever having children….Since then I’ve been suppressing emotions; even during and after my Robin’s sickness & death last year.

People keep the emotions bottled up… As the adage goes: Cowboys don’t cry. But the body gets sick from all the pent up emotions. Then its like a volcano erupting… Pressure building up. We should ask our Heavenly Father to help us release the toxins, the built-up emotions in our bodies… So our body can purify and heal itself from within.

Last week I went back to my doctor and he was so touched with the remarkable recovery that he got all teary eyed. He said when I saw him in December 2014 about my thyroid it was bigger that it is now! It was dormant all these years until 2018.

So, it is SUCH an amazing awesome miracle that happened! Hallelujah! All PRAISE to You, AbaH!

(First photo, in blue, taken on the morning of the 11th, just before radiology test and second one (in white & red) taken on the night of the 16th, after all the release)

Becoming the Person you want to BE – (Two)

Dreams 6

Following Your Dream

As I begun to “put pen to paper” (so glad I don’t have to go down that road anymore, as my handwriting is quite illegible, so much so, that my Mother, thought I would make a good doctor).

A little earlier, I read on my PNA desk pad, “Always invest in your dreams” So, why don’t we do just that – invest in our dreams….
