Becoming the Person you want to Be

Dreams 6

We all dream of things we would like to see happen in our lives. More often than not, these are ideals that we don’t share with others or maybe just one other special person, usually someone we can trust. Now that I think about it, apart from the one with whom I have a close relationship, I don’t think I’ve ever heard anyone discussing their dreams.

Clarence the Caterpillar (Part Two)

Clarence was terrified and began wriggling for all he was worth. The bird swooped towards the river, heading for her young ones in their nest. Clarence managed to squirm free and fell headlong into the water, where a fish took a bite at him, narrowly missing and in doing so, knocked him onto the bank. Badly shaken, bruised and cold he huddled under the safety of some rocky cover. Continue reading Clarence the Caterpillar (Part Two)

Dreams 6

Following Your Dream

As I begun to “put pen to paper” (so glad I don’t have to go down that road anymore, as my handwriting is quite illegible, so much so, that my Mother, thought I would make a good doctor).

A little earlier, I read on my PNA desk pad, “Always invest in your dreams” So, why don’t we do just that – invest in our dreams….

Safari to Seychelles Islands

Seychelles Bing Search visionvoyages.com

Some years ago I won an all expenses paid trip to the Seychelles Islands for my wife, myself and our baby daughter, as part of a top salesman award.

Prior to this my only knowledge of the Seychelles was idyllic white beaches, palm trees and blue seas which I had seen in magazines. You know those pictures that you look at and say in a dreamy kind of voice, “Wouldn’t you love to take a trip there”?

The Science of Success

Wallace Wattles
Wallace D Wattles – 1860–1911
A Book Review
Who should read this book?

I rather like the way the author himself suggests who should read these pages:

“This book is practical, not philosophical; a practical manual, not a treatise upon theories.

It is intended for men and woman whose most pressing need is money; who wish to get rich first and philosophize afterward. It is for those who have, so far, found neither the time, the means, nor the opportunity to go deeply into the study of metaphysics, but who want results and who are willing to take the conclusions of science as a basis for action, without going into all the processes by which these conclusions were reached.”

Then you qualify to read this book.

Salmon Fishing in the Yemen

Salmon Fishing in the Yemen

A Book Review on Paul Torday’s publication – ISBN 978-0-7538-2178-7

As the book suggests, ‘Credo, quia impossibile est’ –‘I believe it because it is impossible’.

Hooking salmon in the desert? Surely not!

My first impression at seeing the video title, was, “Is this real?

Then on watching the video I decided, “Well…maybe”.

Only then did I read the book.

El Paraíso en la otra esquina

In momentous events, I think of our South African Comrades and Two Oceans, by way of example, it’s the wayside spectators that cheer us on our way, that keeps us heading for our goal. El Paraíso en la otra esquina, does that for me; how about you?
