Famous Author Quotes-JK Rowling on Failed.

Failure

Feature Photo By Brett Jordan Upsplash.com.

“It is impossible to live without failing at something unless you live so cautiously that you might as well not have lived at all—in which case, you fail by default.

― J.K. Rowling

It seems that from the time I started my first job, I always worked dreaming of something better. I was never satisfied. It took me about seven years to build up the courage to start my very first business. After two years the business failed. This was the first of four businesses, in all, that failed. I was a broken man but managed to find an activity that I really loved. It was this that saved me and set me on the road to a wonderful life. I can say for certain, I have enjoyed my life, every moment, even the heartbreaking times. I can state, I love the life I have lived and the best is yet to come.

Famous Author Quotes-Paulo Coelho on Never Imprison Love.

Love

― Paulo Coelho

“Love is an untamed force. When we try to control it, it destroys us. When we try to imprison it, it enslaves us. When we try to understand it, it leaves us feeling lost and confused.”

― Paulo Coelho

www,goodreads.com.

Paulo’s words are wise indeed and from these, we should all take care regarding this precious word, love.

I cannot remember ever trying to tame or understand the various experiences of love in my life, but there is every chance that I did. It’s possible, I might have tried to control and imprison love, although I cannot consciously recall doing this. Thinking about it, I can distinctively recall the feeling of romantic love. The love of my various family members along with the love of my fellow humans, these I recall quite clearly. Yet, love has been a mystery to me. A mystery that has to some extent become a little more clear in discovering that love comes in many differing forms.

The very best description I have ever read was from a passage of ancient wise words, and it goes like this: “Love is patient and is kind; love doesn’t envy. Love doesn’t brag, is not proud, doesn’t behave itself inappropriately, doesn’t seek its own way, is not provoked, takes no account of evil; doesn’t rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.”

Wisdom Snippets From Peter-Live a Full Life

Water Ski

Feature Photo by Ian Wagg Upsplash.com

Four Wisdom Snippets To Help You love Life.

My life is one big Blessing, I love it! I acknowledge this in gratitude both at the beginning and end of my day. Daily, I live my life to the full.

I own no valuables that are worth stealing. The two most valuable possessions I have in my life, are my heart and my dreams, and, trust me, they are staying put.

It is said, “Life is too short.” Yet, none of us wants to grow old. A little confusing. Queen was on the right track when Freddy Mercury sang, “Who Wants to Live Forever.” Well I do, I don’t care how old I am – I just love life. How about you?

I am a free soul. As a youth, I used to water-ski naked at night – did you?

Peter’s Quote for The Day-Choose Light.

Light

Feature Photo by Allen Cai Upsplash.com

Live in The Light

All things which grow, seek the light, on finding it they flourish, whilst all things begin growing in the dark, there, they will never flourish. I look for light always. In the light I flourish, in the dark, I wither. As a child, I had terrible fears when I awoke in the dark, but with the light of the dawn, the dark and my fears disappeared. Now I say, ‘It’s best to live in the light.

Weekly Words of Wisdom-Unrequieted Dreams.

Dreams

Feature Photo by carolyn christine Upsplash.com

Unrequieted Dreams, Who Has Them?

“Gatsby believed in the green light, the orgastic future that year by year recedes before us. It eluded us then, but that’s no matter–tomorrow we will run faster, stretch out our arms farther…. And one fine morning– So we beat on, boats against the current, borne back ceaselessly into the past.”

― F. Scott Fitzgerald, The Great Gatsby

Gatsby lived in his dream, the green light, across the bay. A green light which signaled to him the presence of his dream, Daisy, the woman, it was said, he loved. Yet his dream was never fulfilled. It remained just that, an unrequited dream. Perhaps with you, and I, the pursuit of our dreams is like rowing a boat against a current. A current that is always sweeping us backward into our past. We, unawares, see our dreams recede with the years until we have forgotten that we had them. Do you have unrequited dreams? Do you have unrequited love? My past is a huge treasure chest of dreams and experiences. I live off these dreams and experiences, but I am careful not to live in them. Living in my dreams has caused me to lose my vision. Now I live, steering for my dreams, not living in them.

Peter’s Quote for the Day-Adventure.

adventure

Feature Photo by Annie Spratt Upsplash.com

Take to Adventure.

I love adventure with a passion. I was adventurous from a young age. As I matured I found that adventure was not all outside of me. The real effortless adventures were to be found inside of me. Outward adventures gave me memories. My inward adventures have resulted in outward creativity. I write creatively, I scribble pictures – more than this though, I create my own happiness, that’s something to think about.

Peter’s Quote for The Day-Choosing Friends.

Friends

Feature Duy Pham Upsplash.com

Choose Friends Wisely

I must be wise with my choice of friends. If I part for one reason or another from any of them, I must do so kindly, with no ill feelings when I part from those friends. Parting does not mean I cease to love you. (by love, I do not address the romantic love, but the love of our fellow humans.) Adopting this attitude, I have found much peace of mind.

A voicemail message attributed to a certain Pastor Henry Schorr goes like this: “Thanks for calling. I’ve been away making changes in my life. Please leave a message. If you don’t hear back from me, you are one of the changes. Enjoy your day.” (“The Power of Focus.” Jack Canfield, Mark Victor Hansen, Les Hewitt. page 130.)

Weekly Words of Wisdom-Dying too Early.

Grey Jacket

Feature Photo by Hardini Lestari Upsplash.com

Are You Dying Before Your Time?

Am I dying before my time? Once I commuted through traffic for an hour to arrive at my job in time for the 7.30 clock-in. Dressed in a grey jacket and tie and carrying my lunch in a briefcase, I tried to look important. Yip, I paid the price for resisting change offered to me on a plate by the universe. I never received any reward for fighting change in my life, only the prospect of growing old and dying before my time. You ask,” Is it possible to ‘die before one’s time’?”

I found out that I could quickly die before my time by dying before I died! I’m serious. Think about it; there must be a large community of souls whom we could term the ‘living dead.’ Those poor people whose daily activity is to exist. They have no hope for the future. (these are not limited to any age group.) I certainly was one of those.  In my life, the turnaround was when I was willing to accept all manner of change put across my path. Large or small. In other words, change, becoming a lifestyle for myself. Would you believe this: I have become younger?

Wisdom Snippets From Peter-Loving Life

Life

Feature Photo by Katarzyna Grabowska Upsplash.com

Five Wisdom Snippets To Help You love Life.

I have discovered that I learn so much more when I keep my mouth Shut. With my mouth shut, I am considered wise and loving.

I have a wonderful life as I take ownership of the hurdles I encounter journeying forward. These hurdles don’t belong to anyone else, they are mine. As a result, I am the master of my own destiny, having been given this mandate by God within me. I have truly found a loving life.

Each day brings new opportunities into my life and I am discovering how to identify them

Never whinge; winging is like bad breath – creates a poor image of oneself. Another thing, I never explain myself to others, it seems like a fruitless pastime to me.

I always try to put myself in other people’s shoes. Working from my shoes only limits my true perspective.I think the journey of my life is like climbing a mountain, along the climb there will be brief rests; I welcome these, but I must never linger there. To do so, would mean I will delay reaching the summit.

Weekly Words of Wisdom-Forgive Quickly.

Forgive

Feature Photo by Brett Jordan Upsplash.com

Decide to Forgive

I have learned, mostly from painful experiences to never let my anger cause me to react and later regret how I’ve reacted. I’ve found that anger is a single-edged sword with the sharp end facing me. I am the one who pays the bigger price for harboring anger. Especially, I must not carry my anger into my sleep. My anger is one of my emotions that lacks the qualities of sound reasoning. As I enter my sleep I make a statement, I forgive, whoever or whatever has made me angry. I am aware that to forgive is simply a decision, not an emotion. In addition, it is the thought about whoever or whatever has made me angry that is the real issue. As a result, I stop entertaining that thought in my mind immediately. Then I go to sleep, and as I love sleeping, I sleep well.
