Things I have learned Along Life’s Way – Part Three

The Watcher.

The Watcher always looks at every aspect of life from a distance, as an observer, if you will. Never becoming caught up in anything, always watching from a distance.

Sylvia Rose’s Story – Chapter Ten

Mother

Mother

Sylvia Rose’s Story is a series, published monthly. Why not start at Chapter One?

Things My Mother Taught Me

I am going to try and give you some insight into this amazing woman and the deep impact she has had on my life. I feel privileged to call her my Mom. Although we live in different countries, we speak every day. She has always been fiercely protective of her children. Nobody comes between my mother and her children, she is still like that today. Sylvia Rose’s Story – Part Eight

Depression AJ 12

I know now why the Caged Bird Sings – Maya Angelou

One evening after a very heated argument with my daughter; anger in her eyes she turned to me and said, “Happiness comes from within, you create your own happiness. Get your shit together. You have to love yourself before you can possibly love anyone. Look at all your failed relationships; they didn’t last because you can’t even love yourself”!Love Yourself First

After many tears in my room, it got me thinking, she was right. How could I possibly move on with my life if there was so much inner hate? I made a decision then; I would make a concerted effort to work on my life and my self-happiness. There were places I knew exactly where I needed to start.

Why not start the series at the beginning.

The trip to Australia and the stringent interviewing process, which was conducted over three, sixteen hour, days was a real eye opener for the Father and ended with him and two others being thanked for their attendance and participation. A House Divided Against Itself

“A house divided against itself cannot stand.

I believe this government cannot endure permanently, half slave and half free.

I do not expect the Union to be dissolved — I do not expect the house to fall — but I do expect it will cease to be divided”.

Abraham Lincoln – In his speech to the Senate in June 16, 1858
